🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Heather Goslee to Montevideo Public Schools! Hi everyone! This is my first year as the district nurse for the Montevideo School District. I am excited for this new journey in school nursing. I was born in Montevideo and raised on a farm near Madison, MN. I am married to Kyle, who is starting his 24th year teaching here in the Montevideo School District. We have two amazing kids, our son Jace and our daughter Drew. We live out in the country with our two dogs Bucky & Blaze. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University. I have been a nurse for 12 years. I previously worked as an Oncology Certified Nurse in the Oncology/Infusion Department at CCM Health in Montevideo. Prior to working in oncology & infusion, I also worked in surgery, med/surg nursing, ER, and OB departments. Some of my favorites are: coffee, reading, baking, candles, Fall, and Christmas movies. 🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Mackenzie Landmark to Thunder Hawk Territory for the 2024-2025 school year! #HAWKPRIDE I am Mackenzie Landmark! I recently moved to the area and am excited to meet the students and start teaching band and general music at the high school and middle school! I am originally from Clinton, Minnesota. Growing up, I challenged myself to see how many instruments I could learn before I graduated high school. I Graduated college from Concordia in Moorhead, MN in 2023. I live in my home with my husband, Elijah, and two dogs, Caboose and Freya. In my free time, I love to build Legos or play games. Help us welcome Mackenzie to the Thunder Hawk community!

🌟New Staff Spotlight!🌟 We are excited to welcome Adelle Kallemeyn to Thunder Hawk Territory for the 2024-2025 school year! #HAWKPRIDE Hello! I am the new special education teacher at the middle school for 5th grade this year. I am currently working towards my master’s degree at SMSU in Special Education as an Academic Behavioral Strategist. This will be my second year teaching in special education. I have a previous bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University and Dakota State University in Communication Arts, Graphic and Website Design. Before deciding my career path in teaching, I worked on maintaining websites for 17 years, drove a school bus for 11 years and worked as a paraprofessional for 8 years. I enjoy helping students grow academically and seeing them grow up to be young adults with a bright future! I currently live on an acreage north of Lake Benton, MN with my husband, Jon, and two kids Kyle (17) and Kelly (14). I also have two cats that keep me company: Socks and Bella. When I’m not at school, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends or watching movies. I am looking forward to a wonderful new year at Montevideo Middle School! I grew up in Westbrook, MN and attended college at Mankato State University. My wife Lindsay and I have three children: Elijah 13, Emersyn 10, and Eden 7. As a family we enjoy camping in the summer as time allows. We have a 7-year-old English Yellow Lab named Cabella who helps with bird hunting in the Fall. I also enjoy golfing, fishing, and am a MSHSL wrestling official. With our kid’s activities increasing, most downtime is spent watching activities and trying to make some memories along the way! I am from Waconia, MN, and I studied music education and French at Luther College. I took a little bit of a break after college to travel! For the past year I lived in Luxembourg as a nanny and traveled to thirteen different countries! In addition to traveling, I also love reading and knitting. New Staff Spotlight! We are excited to welcome Holly Spicer to Thunder Hawk territory for the 2024-2025 school year! #HAWKPRIDE My name is Holly Spicer! I just moved to the Montevideo area from Willmar. This is my 8th year teaching. I have my master's degree in Special Education. I got into special education initially as a parent whose son had a learning disability. I was also a paraprofessional for many years and decided that I could be more helpful as a special education teacher. I love my job! I have three wonderful kids who are all grown, two boys and one girl. I currently live with my boyfriend and am experiencing empty nest syndrome. I love to fish, kayak, and hike! I am excited to join the Montevideo team, and I cannot wait to meet the students and families that I will be working with! Help us welcome Holly Spicer to the Thunder Hawk community!

The Montevideo Public Schools District Office hours will be 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Thursday, and 7:30-11:30 am on Fridays, starting June 3rd through August 9th.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT Let’s get to know our Thunder Hawk staff! We are proud to shine the spotlight on Sara Erickson! School may be out for summer, but you’ll find Sara working in the middle school office all year long. She is an Administrative Assistant to the MMS principal. Sara’s hometown is Montevideo. She has lived in Montevideo her whole life. Sara graduated as a Montevideo Mohawk, and she is proud to still be in this community! Sara has three adult children; Lyndsey, Brennan & Brady, and she is also the very proud grandma to two little girls, Charlotte and Ania, along with a grandson due in October! Sara and Steve enjoy camping, and they try to go every weekend during the summer months. Sara loves fall camping most of all! We are lucky to have you on our team, Sara! STAFF SPOTLIGHT Let’s get to know our Thunder Hawk staff! Shining in this week’s staff spotlight is Zach Koepke! Zach is a special education teacher at Montevideo Middle School. Zach has been at Montevideo for 6 years. His hometown is Granite Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from SMSU with a degree in Social Studies Education, St. Thomas with a master's degree in Special Education, and Bethel with a Work-Based Learning license. Outside of teaching, Zach enjoys taking creative sports photography, dabbling in graphic design and videography, collecting history related artifacts and books, grill outs & exploring new food spots with friends, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, spoiling his niece and nephew, and trying (keyword trying) to catch up on a backlog of shows, movies, and video games. Zach feels Montevideo Schools is the perfect sized school, saying "Our class sizes are great and not too big where you don't know everybody. It's such a privilege to work with so many awesome students and amazing coworkers." We are proud to have you on our team, Zach!
