Montevideo Public Schools is thrilled to announce that Erin Lippert has been named our 2025 Montevideo Teacher of the Year!
Since joining our Thunder Hawk family in August of 2011, Erin has shown exceptional dedication and passion for teaching. She has made a positive impact on both her students and the Thunder Hawk family. Erin says, "My goal as a teacher has always been to help students to be good people, and if they also learned Spanish in the meantime, it was a bonus."
Erin grew up on a farm outside of Prinsburg, MN. She graduated from BDRSH (now RCW), and she received her undergraduate degree at South Dakota State University, Masters in Education from Saint Mary's of Minnesota. Erin is married to Ryan, and they have two kids, Emily (freshman at SMSU), Hayden (9th grader). This is her 23rd year teaching (14th year in Montevideo).
