2013-2014 Academic Goal Summary

1.      Increase student performance on MCA tests by five percent as measured by the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards.

a.      Math will increase from 60.7% to 63.8%

b.     Student Performance in Math increased 19.1 percentage points to 79.8% of students meeting or exceeding standards. 

c.      Reading will increase from 45.5% to 47.8%

d.     Student Performance in Reading increased 18.9 percentage points to 64.4% of students meeting or exceeding standards.  See chart 1.2 from MDE Website.

e.      Ramsey made AYP in all categories. 

 

2.      Decrease the performance gap between economically disadvantaged students and non-economically disadvantaged students by five percentage points as measured by the percentage of each group meeting or exceeding standards.

a.      The performance gap will decrease from 12.1 points to 7.1 points in Math

b.     The performance gap for math increased to 13.1%.  Although FRP achievement increased to 72.3% meeting or exceeding standards.  

c.      The performance gap will decrease from 30.5 points to 25.5 points in Reading

d.     The performance gap for reading decreased to 3.4%.  FRP achievement increased to 61.7% meeting or exceeding standards.  

 

3.      Increase the percentage of students meeting NWEA spring to spring growth goals by five percentage points.

a.      The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in math will increase from 33% to 38%.

b.     The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in math increased to 54.1%  

c.      The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in reading will increase from 40% to 45%.

d.     The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in reading increased to 42.2%  


2014-2015 Academic Goals

1.      Increase student performance on MCA tests by five percent as measured by the percentage of students meeting or exceeding standards.

a.      Math will increase from 79.8% to 84.8%

b.      Reading will increase from 64.4% to 69.4%

2.      Decrease the performance gap between economically disadvantaged students and non-economically disadvantaged students by five percentage points as measured by the percentage of each group meeting or exceeding standards.

a.      The performance gap will decrease from 13.1 points to 8.1 points in Math

b.      The performance gap will maintain at less than 5 points in Reading

3.      Increase the percentage of students meeting NWEA spring to spring growth goals by five percentage points.

a.      The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in math will increase from 54% to 59%.

b.      The percentage of students making spring to spring growth goals in reading will increase from 42% to 47%.
